by Mother Michelle, O.D.M. -- Fascinating history of the discovery of this ancient martyrs relics and the amazing spread of devotion to her. The Holy Curé of Ars, the illustrious propagator of devotion to Saint Philomena, obtained wonders through her intercession. Virgin and Martyr, she was called the Wonder-worker of the 19th century. 134 pages, many illustrations.

This narrative is based on an excellent book by Msgr. Francis Trochu, La "petite sainte" du Curé d'Ars, Sainte Philomène, vierge et martyre - The "Little Saint" of the Curé of Ars:  Saint Philomena, Virgin and Martyr (Emmanuel Vitte: Paris, 1929).  Not only does his book attest to its author's tender piety towards Saint Philomena, but it constitutes a true in-depth study of the various labors performed by archeologists, historians and liturgists, and includes all the official documents concerning devotion to this Christian heroine.
