Mary is the Mother of Jesus Christ, who is the Head of the Mystical Body. She is therefore also the Mother of all the members of this Body, that is, Christians. These are not mere figures of speech, but reality. We are truly Mary’s children. She is our Mother. No matter how bad I am, no matter how ungrateful I may sometimes be, the Blessed Virgin is my Mother! She shows me the same maternal kindness that She showed Jesus. [...] We have as our Mother the One who is the Mother of God: we must truly take full advantage of this immense privilege. Our Mother is all-powerful; She has a Mother’s power over God.
