This picture book relates the famous Apparitions of the Virgin Mary at Fatima in Portugal. On May 13, 1917, the Beautiful Lady appeared for the first time to three young shepherd children, Lucia dos Santos, Francesco and Jacinta Marto. “I come from heaven,” the Virgin said, “and I want you to come here on the 13th of every month for six months...” She promised that on the 13th of October, She would “make a miracle so that everyone may believe.” On that day, a crowd of 70,000 people witnessed the miracle of “the dance and the fall of the sun,” an inexplicable wonder that lasted about ten minutes. This was the great miracle of the promise which was fulfilled precisely as to the day, time and place predicted in advance. This unde-niable Sign should impel men to believe in the reality of the Apparitions and obey the Message given by the Blessed Virgin for the salvation of the world and the Church.

It is not the Church that imposed Fatima on the faithful. It is Fatima that imposed itself on the Church,” declared Cardinal Manuel Gonçalves Cerejeira, the Patriarch of Lisbon, on the occasion of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Apparitions, October 31, 1942.

Fatima is still as relevant as ever!...
